|Interviewing Managers — Tips to choose the best person
advertised and interviewed a short list. Your dilemma is
- which one to choose for the role. You may need a further
tool to decide which candidate will best suit your company’s
needs. How about using a relevant questionnaire as a tool
? Here’s how.......
Work out the key criteria that you are seeking in the person
and develop a number of written questions relating to that.
Ask the short listed candidates if they wouldn’t mind
completing the questionnaire and returning it within a few
days to help you decide the most suitable candidate. Email
the questionnaire to the candidate clearly spelling out your
requirements. View the responses and see how this helps
you make your final decision as to the most suitable candidate.
Apart from the actual responses, you'll discover other
valuable skills such as their writing style and grammatical
communication, their presentation skills, their ability to
complete a task within a short time frame, their willingness
to take further steps to achieve the job etc… it's
an invaluable tool !
A sample of how to develop questions:
Key Recruiting Criteria: Ability
to adjust as a leader within a changing environment.
Question: In your current role, how have you adjusted your leadership style to manage the business and its people in a constantly changing environment ?
Key Recruiting Criteria: Ability to encourage a positive culture within the team.
Question: What are some techniques that you have used successfully to effectively mentor and nurture staff ?
Watch this technique work for you to help you decide the best person !!
This tip has been gladly brought to you by the White Now Wizard !
|Suppliers — Advertise more effectively !
are you used to advertising only in magazines or through
mail outs ?
These ads are seen once only by the reader
for a VERY short amount of time ! If you advertise through
a Banner (Hot Spot) on the White Now website, your ad is
continually seen by the viewer every time they log on.
With 730,000 hits a month, the White Now viewers are returning
daily to look at the site. Do magazine readers return
daily to look at the magazine ? Which method of advertising
do you think is more effective AND cheaper ? Call Corina
the Grinner on 0415 249 131 or email email@example.com to
get the low down !
