St Marys Rugby League Club is a very progressive Club in the Western suburbs of Sydney. The current Club sits on 82 acres and supports a membership of more than 38,000. In total there are 7 bars, 400+ gaming machines, a Football Stadium and much, much more.

The Club continues to go from strength to strength, and will continue to grow with their recently commenced $15Million redevelopment plan. The Board and Management are extremely proactive and constantly looking for new business and income diversification opportunities. These two things, plus a myriad of other plans and opportunities make this a very exciting opportunity for any prospective employee.

We have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, well organised Accountant to help out our Finance Team in a maternity leave role for a contract of up to 13 months.

This role could be adjusted to be either full time or for the right person it could be part-time 32 hours per week, with the option of working either 4 days per week or 5 shorter days. This role may be ideal for someone returning to the workforce, a parent with after school commitments or a person seeking an interesting role in an exciting organisation.

Reporting to the Financial Controller the duties include:
- Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts
- Preparation of monthly P&L reports
- Other accounting duties as required

To be considered for this role you will ideally possess:
• Excellent organisational skills
• Familiarity with computerised accounting systems
• A team player with keen attention to detail
• A strong work ethic while working in a relaxed environment
• Flexibility and dependability
• A friendly personality
• Strong communication skills

The successful applicant will be a team player with a keen desire to make a positive contribution. Strong reconciliation skills, attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite. Experience in a similar role and excellent references are absolutely essential.

Rate of pay is negotiable based on skills and experience but as a guide consider $35-45 per hour negotiable for the right person.
