We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Banquets Manager to lead operations of our F & B Events within our increasingly popular and recently renovated Events Centre. As the Banquets Manager you will be working under our Events Department Manager in leading and supporting our fantastic Events Team in delivering high quality Events such as Conferences, Weddings, Corporate, Private and Community functions plus much more. This is a hands-on operational role and you would be an integral member of the Senior Management team.

The Banquet Manager's key responsibilities include:
  • Lead, manage and deliver day to day F & B Banqueted Events;
  • Assist in set ups and pack down of multiple events;
  • Assist in staff management and training (including assisting in recruitment and performance);
  • FOH Client, Supplier and Community group relationship management;
  • Post event feedback, reporting, maintenance, product etc. to facilitate continuous improvement;
  • Assist in event business development and sales referrals;
  • Reporting to the Events Department Manager in regards to Event delivery outcomes.

To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Recent experience as a Banquets Manager/Supervisor in a senior capacity;
  • Proven ability to manage F & B Events and Staff;
  • Strong Leadership skills within a collaborative environment;
  • Attention to detail and commitment to achieving quality outcomes;
  • Strong communications skills along with ability to lead and manage multiple events simultaneously;
  • Must be motivated and driven with a hands on collaborative approach to problem solving and process improvement;
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers;
  • Required to work nights and weekends and/or Public Holidays.
  • Hold/currently obtaining relevant Events Industry qualifications;
