Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club (CHPRSL) is seeking an established Marketing and Communications Manager to oversee the marketing and communications strategy across all venues and subsidiaries of the CHPRSL Club Group.
 
Located in Sydney’s Inner West within the Canterbury Bankstown LGA, the Marketing and Communications Manager will embed a strong supportive leadership style across the entire business, whilst communicating to both internal and external stakeholders.
 
The Marketing and Communications Manager will work collaboratively with the rest of the Senior Leadership Team and Venue Managers in developing, executing and reporting on the marketing strategy. The successful applicant will lead a well established team, focusing in the areas of marketing, data analytics, insights analysis, design, events and activations. 

CHPRSL is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager with
natural leadership qualities, and a highly skilled acumen for communicating across all levels of the business.
 
CHPRSL is looking for someone who can translate data, insights and analysis from multiple internal and external sources and translate them into positive strategic initiatives that guide each venue. The successful applicant will understand current and predicted changes in our local communities and develop new products and experiences to attract new markets to our venues. You will have a passion for measuring the effectiveness and returns from new initiatives and will be prepared to challenge more traditional methods of marketing and communications. 
 
Our community is at the centre of everything we do at CHPRSL and the successful applicant should have a passion for community support and initiatives and an appreciation that financial metrics are not the only way of measuring success.
 
You will have:
  • The Ability to lead and develop the marketing team and deliver on strategic initiatives effectively;
  • A strong eye for and awareness of branding and storytelling, for both our people and our stakeholders in order to showcase the CHP story through strategies that connect with the community;
  • A passion and demonstrated skill in measuring marketing return on investment;
  • A flair for supporting positive member experiences and the ability to work closely with other departments in order to achieve this;
  • The experience working in a senior or executive marketing role and leading a marketing team;
  • Current tertiary qualifications in marketing/communications and a desire to keep yourself current and on top of modern approaches;
  • A successful history in planning and delivering strategic objectives across the business within marketing and communications;
  • A passion for innovation and creativity in your approach to marketing;
  • The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders for the success of our people and members;
  • A positive outlook and mindset towards community focused marketing initiatives and the ability to deliver them in accordance with our community mindset;
  • A confidence to present to the Board and Executive team on marketing strategy while selling the story and inspiring the rest of the business;
  • An encouraging desire for success for your team and the wider business;
  • Prior direct experience in the hospitality or leisure industries in a senior marketing role is preferred
Your Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Executing and delivering communication strategies across the group;
  • Meeting agreed deadlines on all day to day marketing functions and requirements;
  • Capitalising on our brand and our story and deliver on valuable offers whilst upholding our commitment to the community across all levels;
  • Strategy development of the marketing and communications function such as digital, promotions, social media, and community engagement;
  • Project management of all marketing campaigns and activities;
  • Managing and report on marketing budget;
  • Enhancing our products and our customer experience guided and developed by market research in order to lead the club to continuous growth and business success
  • Supporting and elevating our community engagement strategies to ensure our proud history in the support for our communities is heard
  • Overseeing all marketing, entertainment and activation offerings and communications 
  • Supporting, managing and leading your team and the wider business to success.
