The Diggers (Coogee Diggers Club) are doing something AMAZING and now is the time to take notice.  The Club has just opened an outstanding new ground floor, 55 machine gaming venue and have a schedule of ambitious building projects planned for the next 12 months including the development of a corner style pub on the ground-floor, increased F&B offering and the doubling of its already impressive fitness, gym, pool and health facilities on its top levels.  We have a focus on Health & Wellbeing moving forward !  

Coogee Diggers are searching for a driven and savvy individual to join our management team as an Operations Manager.  We are looking for a self-starter who believes that clubs have to adapt to survive moving forward.  You will be on board with the changing direction of our venue which will focus on the all round needs of our demographics in the fitness space, along with the modern feel that comes with outstanding F&B.  We are looking for someone who is genuine, articulate and is able to engage our clients and deliver a positive and memorable experience through outstanding customer service.

About the role:

  • Venue management, leadership, development and coaching of employees
  • People and performance management
  • Operational financial management and acumen; managing budgets, wages, cost, weekly and monthly P&L
  • WHS policies and procedures
  • Legal compliance e.g. RSA, RCG
  • Marketing and business development of the venue
  • Strategic direction, implementation and the day to day operation of the gaming room. 
  • Creating and implementing promotions and customer rewards programs
  • Closing and lockup of the business
  • Living and breathing the values and purpose of our business

About you:

  • Experience as a Duty or Operations Manager in a multifaceted venue
  • Proven experience of working within a gaming room and ready to take the next step in their career
  • Outstanding gaming, bar or supervisory experience in bars and restaurants will be highly regarded
  • Ability to demonstrate a sound technical background in gaming products and systems with advanced computer skills
  • Current RCG & RSA certifications
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including day or night and weekends to coincide with trading hours
  • Exceptional communication skills, impressive presentation 

This role is available either Part Time for someone studying or needing Part Time hours or this role can be Full Time if that is what suits you !
