Sporties @ Kareela Golf Sports Club ('Sporties'), part of the Sporties Group of Clubs, is seeking a meticulous and energetic person to drive Reception and Member Services.
 
Based at Kareela, this full-time position will be responsible for ensuring the member services operates at an optimum level of efficiency, whilst delivering and encouraging exceptional standards of customer service.
 
The successful candidate will be a customer relations professional who takes no short cuts, and possesses strong data mining skills to maximise membership retention and growth.
 
As the welcoming face to the Group, this role requires an individual who can:
The Receptionist:
  • Reconcile tills and have complete responsibility and accountability for the allocated till
  • Interact with customers; answer all patrons' questions and concerns. 
  • Acknowledge all patrons on entrance and exit of Sporties. 
  • Uphold RSA and RCG legislation and policy.
  • Advise customers on membership activities as well as internal promotions associated with becoming a member.
  • Accurately input member’s data into the membership database (ebet). 
  • Follow correct policy and procedure relating to new members, member renewals, infinity plus membership and promotions.
  • Work cooperatively and efficiently with team members.
  • Maintain a positive "can do" attitude.
  • Achieve and maintain a high standard of work performance.
  • Uphold expectations of Club members.
  • Comply with Club policies and procedures.
  • Complete all assigned tasks and duties immediately and with complete professionalism.
  • Monitor the membership database ensuring correct opt in, contact details, Mi Club data entry, renewal data and monitor demographic trends;
  • Monitor members in grace or unfinancial, seeking to recoup potentially lost members;
  • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of standards and procedures;
  • Develop and implement, in conjunction with the Group Marketing Manager, strategies for growth and retention of Sporties membership;
  • Oversee Infinity Plus, encouraging members to join the program, including data entry and rewards;
  • Maintain first aid supplies and refilling of kits, ensuring equipment is serviced as required;
  • Promote club membership and facilities, ensuring familiarity with all updated gaming, marketing, promos, etc.
  • Monitor signage, brochures and advertising paraphernalia ensuring validity and overall tidiness.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  • reconciles individual till at the completion of shift without variance or voids. 
  • holds and shares knowledge of memberships, products, current promotions and Club services.
  • demonstrates exceptional customer service and attends to calls in less than 3 rings. 
  • completes all membership forms correctly, entirely and accurately.
  • is at rostered area on time, ready to work and in correct uniform. 
  • maintains a tidy workspace.
  • charges all transactions through cash register at time of sale.
  • reports all issues (OH&S or otherwise) to the Customer Service Manager.
  • is motivated and enthusiastic when completing all assigned tasks and duties.
  • follows instructions from superiors immediately and without backchat, and completes these tasks with professionalism. 
  • complies with all other Club policies and procedures. 
  • upholds expectations of Club members.
KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Is competent in general computer operations including Microsoft office.
  • Competency in upholding RSA & RCG policy and legislation.
  • Problem solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Cash handling abilities.
  • RSA & RCG certification.
