Liverpool is a wonderfully friendly Golf Club! Our members love their golf and often invite their friends to the weekly open competitions to enjoy features such as; a wonderful Championship Golf Course, Driving Range & practice nets as well as the Members' bar and Bistro and Function facilities available for weddings, special events and conferences. Functions can cater for up to 200 and there is also a wedding gazebo constructed on the course for ceremonies to take place.

The Club has 700 Golfing Members and 1200+ social members and currently 12 gaming machines which are soon to be leased to another Club. There are 16 full time staff plus casuals servicing this friendly Club and course!

This is a great opportunity for a Bookkeeping and Administration Manager to join the Executive team. You will be an experienced and qualified Accountant and take responsibility for all Accounts and Admin functions and reporting to Balance Sheet stage, with the support of a Membership & Accounts Officer. Ideally you will bring previous experience from the Club industry in a similar role.

Liverpool Golf Club is a mid-tier golf course in the Sydney Metropolitan area with an annual turnover is in excess of $3m per annum. This role reports directly to and works closely with the General Manager, to ensure corporate governance and assist in project management. the integrated accounting system used by the Club is Infopower incorporating GL, Inventory, POS, Membership and Debtors.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Ensuring taxation and compliance requirements are met
  • Managing General Ledger and Club's accounting functions
  • Preparation of monthly reporting
  • Overseeing Payroll function
  • Overseeing Membership
  • General accounts and administration

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Accounting qualifications to Degree level (or equivalent)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and un-supervised
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with enterprise system(s), including POS integration
  • An understanding of Information Technology principles and their application to a service environment,
  • Above average skill with Windows based applications, in particular Microsoft products such as Excel and Word,
  • A practical approach to problem solving,
  • A desire to 'think outside the square' and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Experience in Club/Hospitality industry - highly desirable
