The Mounties Group is Australia's leading group of registered clubs. The Group welcomes around 127,900 members across the following Club sites:

  • Manly Bowling Club

The Group is led by a strong and stable Board of 9 Directors.  With the resignation of the previous Group CEO who has been in the role for 18 years, the Board of Directors (The Board) are ready to employ a new Group Chief Executive Officer (Group CEO) to follow on from the excellent achievements witnessed to date.  The new Group CEO will continue to consolidate the business whilst working closely with The Board to continue the agreed Strategy and Master Plan.

To continue the incredible work realised to date, the new Group CEO will also need to continue in the footsteps of the incumbent Group CEO by demonstrating a genuine care and respect for all those within the organisation at every level, as well as build authentic relationships with all external stakeholders.  You will be a person who respects others and shows solid understanding of your role within a unique and large business.  You will guide and advise The Board whilst respecting the decisions that they hand through to you. You will be able to work cohesively with all parties for the betterment of the organisation and the development of its people.  The Club’s history is an important part of its day to day operation as is its support of the community and the 30+ sub-clubs.  This is truly a 'District Community Club'.  You will come to the role with a broad and extensive knowledge of large business, corporate growth, community care and a good understanding of hospitality based organisations.

Ideally The Board are seeking someone who demonstrates the following attributes.  The ability to:

  • provide strategic and tactical leadership;
  • build effective teams whilst offering an involved approach to the overall management of the business;
  • be focused on both fiscal success and people development;
  • work closely with all management and leaders to drive priorities as directed, to ensure that the business needs are continually met;
  • motivate and guide teams for the common purpose of the organisation's vision;
  • guide and advise The Board to ensure innovative, justified and measured decisions;
  • be both calculated and flexible with the changing face of the Club industry and legislative changes;
  • be financially savvy across all areas of the business and operations;
  • represent the business with the utmost integrity and professionalism at all times.

The Mounties Group have experienced significant strategic growth over recent years.  The gaming installation has now reached over 1000 machines and staff numbers have exceeded 650.  This is a significant business that will suit a considered leader with proven demonstrable achievements within large business, as well as embracing a personal history of integrity and honour throughout all areas of their life.
