Moruya is a substantial rural township located on the South Coast of NSW with a population of around 9000 people. Located on the Princes Highway, 310kms south of Sydney, Moruya is a growing friendly township and benefits as a holiday destination as well as a weekend retreat to the Canberra and surrounding community. Moruya offers a great lifestyle, good schools, affordable housing and a terrific friendly community spirit. 
 
The Moruya Golf Club features a championship 18 hole golf course with superb fairways & greens. The Clubhouse has a full range of services including a fully equipped pro shop, gaming facilities, restaurant, café and fully stocked bar and function center. The pro shop is contracted. 
 
The Club has 13 full time staff, 20 casual staff, 500 golfing members as well as 1200 social members. The Club is situated next to the central business district and is in prime position overlooking many fairways and greens. The course has its own water and is always in prime condition. 
 
We are seeking a hands on General Manager who can work closely with the Board to strategically deliver goals for profitable outcomes. The successful applicant should be innovative with a demonstrable track record with the skills to lead the Club and its staff to provide a first class facility for members, guests and visitors. 
 
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have previous Club management and operational experience
  • Have strong leadership skills
  • Be knowledgeable regarding all operational areas of the club
  • Have a strong focus on gaming management 
  • Have the ability to supervise, train, lead & motivate a team
  • Have sound financial management experience
  • Be able to work collaboratively with a Board to meet or exceed KPI’s
  • Have proven success marketing and promoting a Club
  • Have a hands-on approach
  • Have a great customer service focus and superior communication skills
  • Have a sound working knowledge of all legislation and regulatory Club requirements
  • Be able to work with volunteers
  • Have good computer skills, hold RSA, RCG and be available to take on Licensee training
