Norah Head Bowling and Sports Club (or Norah Head 'Sporties' as locals refer to it) is situated next to Norah Head Holiday Park and is close to picturesque Soldiers Beach.
The 'Sporties' Club offers a range of activities including lawn bowls, a lounge area with bar, TAB and gaming facilities, regular live entertainment, a beer garden, cafe and a dining facility seating approximately 250 people with an awesome indoor playground.
Norah Head Bowling and Sports Club is looking to appoint a hands-on Full-Time Assistant Manager with exceptional communication and people skills and a dedication to lead the business and achieve the club’s objectives.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, lead by example, customer focused manager with a genuine love of the club industry to join our team. If you are looking to grow and develop a business, and relish ownership, you have found your opportunity.
You will be vital in the day to day operations of the club, involved in all aspects of operations including gaming, TAB, staff management, rostering, training, customer service, and the coordination of products and promotions.
To be successful you will need:
- Experience in a similar role
- Dedication to customer satisfaction and a great customer experience
- Sensitivity to customer’s needs and the ability to develop warm customer relationships
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivation and possess the desire for self-development
- Hold current RSA & RCG Competency Certifications
- Strong grip on Licensing and Compliance
- Strong Financial acumen
- To be a team player with also the ability to work autonomously
- Work a roster that includes days, nights and weekends
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Motivating employees and drive culture in a great venue with a solid team
- Running the venue in the General Managers absence
- Resolving customer issues to their overall satisfaction
- Cash Handling and Compliance
- Beverage Management and Overseeing Inventory
- Stock Control and Maintaining stores to standard levels
- Staff Management, Training and Development
- Ensuring company policies are followed especially in the areas of Work, Health, Safety, and Security
- Organising and rostering the employee schedule
