North Haven is a seaside town in the Mid-North Coast region of NSW, about 30km south of the larger regional centre of Port Macquarie, minutes from Dooragan National Park (North Brother Mountain) and great surfing beaches.
 
Overlooking the beautiful Camden Haven River, Club North Haven (North Haven Bowling Club) provides year-round activities and entertainment for both residents and visitors of the Camden Haven.
 
Club North Haven is a thriving Club with 5000 members, 66 gaming machines and 38 staff. The Club features 3 Bowling Greens (two of which are synthetic), a café offering coffees and other treats and Seagulls Restaurant with locally renown chef Warren Thom. 
 
The Club has recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation which included; extending VIP areas, Bowlers amenities and Office, the Sports Lounge and TAB, The Paradise Room (a new multi-function room with bar and corporate event facilities) and new furnishing throughout.
 
The Club also owns the Haven Waters Motel & Apartments, just 100m from the Club, offering 3 1/2 star accommodation for over 60 guests; with rooms for singles, couples, and families and is currently managed under a long-term lease agreement.
 
The Board of Directors are now seeking a new General Manager to take the hands-on lead of this Club.  You will bring a strong focus on gaming and financial management.  This role will ideally suit an up and coming Manager seeking their first career step into a General Manager role, and is keen to develop their skills and make their mark!
 
The successful applicant will bring:
  • Previous hospitality management experience
  • A good knowledge of all Club operations
  • A strong knowledge and experience in Gaming management and analysis
  • A proactive, hands-on approach
  • Effective written and oral communication skills – including production of Financial and Board reports and presentations
  • Sound understanding of finance, budgeting and cost controls
  • High level people skills
  • Ability to supervise, motivate and train staff
  • A good knowledge of compliance and legislative issues relating to Registered Clubs
  • Good computer skills
  • An ability to work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to drive the business
  • Proven success with marketing and promotions
  • Hold current RSA and RCG Certificates
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts across 7 days/nights
