Park Beach Bowling Club located in Coffs Harbour is the premier bowling club on the mid north coast of NSW. The facilities feature three First Class Greens; Function rooms; Bistro and Coffee Shop (Contract Caterers); TAB; Keno; gaming of 65 machines and 6,000 members. The Club had a total net revenue of $5.53 million for the last financial year.

Coffs Harbour is located on the mid-north coast of NSW, 540 km north of Sydney, and 390 km south of Brisbane. This is a large urban centre with great facilities and lifestyle options. A popular tourist destination with a sub-tropical climate.

The Board of Park Beach Bowling Club is seeking the services of a visionary to fill the role of Chief Executive Officer.  This role leads a team of 25 staff and is supported by a management team including an Administration Manager and Operations Manager. You will bring strong interpersonal skills, a good knowledge of financial management and the ability to drive this Club forward.

The Club is located close to a number of Motels and a Caravan Park and has strong local support, plus tourist visitations, including regular Bowlers from VIctoria who stay in the area for around 8 weeks over the cooler months. This is a popular and busy venue year round.

AS CEO your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Strategic planning, direction and implementation
  • Human Resources Management
  • Financial and Board reporting
  • Compliance and Corporate Governance
  • Occupational Health and Safety
  • Liaison and negotiation with contractors
  • Marketing and promotion

To be considered for this role we require someone who:

  • Is an experienced Hospitality Manager with a good knowledge of all operations
  • Is committed and passionate
  • Has advanced financial management skills with the ability to prepare and present financial backed business cases and monthly financial reports
  • Has strong gaming skills and is conversant with compliance requirements
  • Has vision and is proactive in obtaining positive growth
  • Is a leader who believes in leading by example
  • Can maintain a positive team culture with staff and the Board
  • Has strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with all stakeholders
  • Has honesty, integrity and provides transparency to the Board
  • Has advanced computer skills
  • Has sound understanding of all legislation associated with the running of the Club
  • Holds current RSA and RCG Certifications
  • Is flexible to work a variety of hours as required by the business
  • An understanding of Bowls - desirable
