Peak Hill is a town in Parkes Shire in the Central West of New South Wales. It is on the Newell Highway between Melbourne and Brisbane and the Dubbo to Parkes railway line. The first public wheat silo built in Australia was constructed at Peak Hill in 1918 after government surveys indicated the district had great potential as a wheat producing region.
 
Built on the back of this success the Peak Hill Ex-Services and Citizens Club Ltd boasts a new gaming room which host 18 gaming machines, new TAB room for members and guests, KENO, Auditorium and a Contracted restaurant. Serving both eat in or takeaway Chinese and Australian meals each day six half days a week with All-U-CAN-EAT every Saturday night), the restaurant can also accommodate 'Special occasion bookings' in the club auditorium.
 
The Club are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the role of General Manager. It is envisaged that the successful applicant will take a 'hands on' approach to the running of the Club. The role is supported by a part time Office Assistant for accounts and admin functions.
 
Ideally the successful applicant should have; 
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • A demonstrated successful commercial background
  • An appropriate working knowledge in either accounting or business management
  • Relevant financial management and reporting
  • The ability to initiate change
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully plan and conduct commercial negotiations
  • Knowledge of and adherence to relevant legislative and compliance issues
  • Management of the day-to-day operations of the business
  • Excellent knowledge of CCTV systems
  • The ability to work some weekends, being Friday and Saturday evenings
  • Proven high standard communication skills and relevant computer literacy
  • Demonstrated high level personnel management ability
  • Previous experience in managing a club would be highly regarded
  • A good understanding of back of house operations

A negotiated above award salary is on offer, commensurate to experience, as well as other benefits. 

Police Check included as required for Licensee position.

The applicant should be prepared to undertake Cross Cultural Awareness training and any other training as required.
