The Club houses a state of the art function centre, modern dining facilities, two bowling greens, a football oval and operate an 80 room four star hotel from their site. This is an excellent opportunity that will see you working in a varied and interesting role where you will build professional relationships.
 
The Role:

Rules Club Wagga are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic manager to join our Duty Manager team.   

As a Duty Manager you will be responsible for directing and managing the Club's operations day to day and reporting to senior management.    

The role will have the following responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the efficient operation of the Club
  • Managing staff including shift management and performance related issues
  • Dealing with customer matters
  • Providing high levels of customer service
  • Understanding and addressing compliance matters, safety matters and legislative matters
  • Procedure and report writing for end of shift and strategic purposes
Skills/Experience:
  • Cash handling and control experience
  • Evidenced leadership experience
  • A high level or written and verbal communication skills
  • A quick thinking approach with an ability to apply a dynamic approach to the venue's requirements
  • The ability and experience to monitor the safety and security of the venue 
Essential Criteria:
  • Applicants should a minimum two years previous experience in hospitality, particularly in similar roles or roles where leadership or be able to identify applicable skills for the industry.  
  • An approachable, professional and positive manner.
  • Previous experience in Beverage, Gaming, Keno and TAB operations
  • Understanding of the relevant legislation
  • Current RSA, RCG and First Aid Certificates
  • Strong communication skills
  • An ability to use systems and confidence with using computer based programs and software.
The position is full-time with a set rotating roster.  It is important that applicants are flexible and have ongoing availability to work evenings, weekends and in peak holiday periods.
