This is a front line management role where you will lead customer experience and manage staff compliance, behaviours and performance.

We are seeking a motivated Customer Service Manager (Duty Manager) to join our team.

We are an award winning combined RSL and Golf Club at the forefront of the local community, offering bar, gaming, cafe, restaurant and function services of the highest standard, and with innovative plans for the near future!  We are probably the biggest source of donations, sponsorship and fundraising in the Manning Valley with all staff participating - we are the 2018 ClubsNSW 'Heart of the Community Award' winner.

You will assist in the daily operation and strategic success of the business through the following duties:

  • Opening, closing and ensuring the security of the Club at all times
  • Ensuring staff provide the best products and excellent customer service to all of our patrons
  • Ensuring RSA, RCG, AML and CTF standards are maintained at all times
  • Managing and recording safe counts, takings and gaming monies
  • Completing spreadsheets and reports
  • Staff performance management and development
  • Maintaining safety of staff and customers at all times, participating in WHS system
  • Being where 'the buck stops' for day to day issues
  • Supporting all Club policies, procedures and values  

You will need to be able to demonstrate examples of the following experience and skills: 

  • At least 2 years previous supervisory or management experience
  • Have a Cert IV or Diploma of Hospitality, or be prepared to achieve them (at our expense)
  • Innovative and outside the box problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Have great people skills - both for ensuring our customers are always delighted with their experience and in leading and inspiring our staff
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Also considering the big picture and consequences - being proactive - solving problems before they occur
  • Incredible commitment to customer service and going above and beyond
  • Positive and objective attitude - never taking anything personally and always using emotional intelligence in dealing with staff and customers
  • Commitment to personal development
  • Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in wherever needed
  • Hold yourself accountable for your decisions, and view any issues as learning opportunities and move on
  • Experience with areas such as bar, gaming, cashbox, cafe, reception, functions and restaurant service

The position involves working shifts weekdays, weekends and public holidays - candidates are required to be fully available during the club's operational hours.
