Finance Administrator

We seek a motivated individual with a high level of organisational skills, who is analytical, and willing to be flexible with a wide range of accounting and administrative tasks, to join our team as a Finance Administrator. 
 
This is a permanent part-time position based in South West Rocks, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.  
 
You will be responsible for overseeing the daily takings of the company, weekly and monthly payroll procedures for 50 plus employees, bank reconciliations, debtor receipts, monthly statements, end of month reconciliations and general administration duties as required. 
 
The key duties and responsibilities of this role include:
  • Allocating daily transactions and accounting procedures
  • Payroll procedures 
  • Identify and address account discrepancies
  • Preparation and management of all tax liabilities and superannuation
  • Accounts receivable and payable
  • Review and process reimbursements
  • Maintaining records for all transactions
  • Maintenance of orderly accounting filing system
Required skills and experience
  • Previous experience and success in a finance administration / bookkeeping position
  • A proven understanding of accounting principles. 
  • Advanced competency with Microsoft Excel and word
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills
  • A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated high level of computer literacy & experience with accounting software
  • An ability to work autonomously and in a team-based environment
  • Confidentiality 
To be successful in the role, we are looking for someone with the following attributes:
  • Cert III in Business Administration (minimum requirement)
  • Diploma of Accounting or equivalent (desirable)
  • Strong accounts and accounting package experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Outstanding time management skills with the ability to manage a number of tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines and prioritise own workload
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure and in an environment where priorities may change.
  • Good data entry skills, with high level of accuracy
  • Must be systematic and will uphold company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude
