The Position:

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced full time Maintenance Assistant who is motivated, passionate and takes pride in how our business is maintained and presented. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this hands-on role will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of maintenance duties across our hospitality venues with a focus on Painting. 
 
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • General maintenance duties and repairs 
  • Painting and plastering
  • General gardening duties such as lawn mowing and spraying, weeding, removal of garden waste
  • General carpentry
  • General manual labouring tasks as required including assisting with unloading stock delivery and moving furniture
  • Conduct daily maintenance and safety inspections
  • Assisting with special projects involving club improvements and renovations
  • Assist with the delivery, identifying, recording and distribution of all goods into the premises for all areas of the club
The successful applicant will have:
  • Have strong commitment to organisational values - customer focused, teamwork, respect, integrity and progressive
  • Demonstrated experience in general maintenance and repairs in a similar role
  • General building maintenance skills to assist with carpentry, painting, gardening, plumbing and general maintenance in our hospitality venues.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Experience operating small plant and power tools
  • Display professional and quality work standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
  • Physically fit & well presented
  • Hold a current drivers licence
  • Knowledge of WHS standards and a commitment to workplace safety
  • Hold an WHS white card
  • Must be available for weekend work on a 7-day rotating roster 
  • Trade qualifications as a Painter would be a distinct advantage
