The Club maintains a strong gaming installation of 28 machines; 2 greens and looks after approximately 1700 members. The Club was refurbished in 2007 and offers a modern and attractive option for members and their guests whilst becoming a genuine focus of the local community through the offering of excellent facilities and a friendly environment.
There is a strong function trade using the 250 seat function room and smaller meeting room. This is a market that we would like to further attract and grow through our food offering and accordingly we are seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual with demonstrated leadership and team building abilities to join our company as Head Chef/Cook.
Reporting directly to the Management Team you will be responsible for the daily profitable operational requirements of the kitchen department and will possess the ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on sales, profit, customer service and leading a vibrant team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Standardising production and menus to ensure consistent quality
- Supervising and coordinating all culinary activities
- Purchasing - food and kitchen related items
- Managing, controlling and leading kitchen personnel
- Menu compilation, costing and development
- The ability to communicate and provide quantifiable advice as to the profitable operation of the food department to management
- Establishing and maintaining presentation and quality standards
- Ensuring HACCAP, OH&S and Food Safety Australia standards are maintained
Remuneration package will be commensurate with experience and discussed with the successful applicant.
