Visit our website : www.cabramattarlc.com.au Locate us via Google Maps here Cabramatta Rugby League Club is seeking an experienced Operations Manager and strong motivator of staff to take on a challenging role in leading, guiding and developing all customer service employees to ensure an efficient operation in conjunction with high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
As the club's new Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to stamp your personality and take a sense of ownership for the operations of the organisation. Boasting 166 Gaming Machines, 5 x Bars, Keno / TAB, Bistro, Coffee Shop and Rugby League Stadium, the Club provides services to approx 15,000 members, with a compliment of 60 staff.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position would ideally suit a person with a sound background in Hospitality Management who aspires to one day become a General Manager, and is committed to working together with the team to improve all aspects of the businesses operating finances. The successful candidate will thrive in a busy, diverse environment and have an enthusiasm for the hospitality industry with a passion for exceptional customer service. Superior knowledge in Gaming, HR, food and beverage, regulatory compliance and Customer Service is a requirement for this position. Equally important will be a proven ability to manage and motivate a large dynamic team.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Responsible for the full operation of the Club
- Establishes and recommends to the Chief Executive Officer, major corporate strategies, objectives and policies for the Club
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance
- Recommends modifications to existing corporate programs
- Liaise and recommend ideas to Departmental Managers in areas of gaming, human resources, administration, stock control and cellar operation, ground maintenance, rugby league and security
- Ensure compliance with the Clubs Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gaming policies as listed in Club policy
- To monitor staff ensuring they are working to the Club’s standards in relation to occupational health & safety, hygiene of bars, poker machines, tables and floors
- To maintain a sponsorship program that enables the Club to profit from and offset some of the daily costs of supporting a rugby league club
- Write and oversee tenders for all facets of the business
- To arrange for maintenance problems to be rectified and to complete work orders for the carrying out of maintenance problems
- To monitor and control all audio equipment in the club ensuring all is operational
- Completion and implementing of daily quality control reports through Duty Managers
- Knowledge of the operation and maintaining of the alarm, camera and security systems
- Any other duties as requested by the Chief Executive Officer which are of a fair and reasonable nature
Candidate Prerequisites:
- Sound knowledge of gaming floor operations desirable
- Previous experience managing large teams essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to forecast and work within pre-determined operating budgets
- Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Gaming
- Tertiary qualifications will be favourably considered
- Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular Industrial Relations laws and OH&S laws a distinct advantage
- Extensive management experience in a Gaming, Hospitality or similar Operations role essential
