Palmerston Sports Club the Northern Territory’s leading and most popular hospitality venue, which has been awarded the states ‘Club of the Year’ 4 times in the last five years, is looking to employ a hospitality professional with experience and enthusiasm to match the growth potential of this exciting venue. Located just out of Darwin in one of the Nation’s fastest growing residential cities, this financially successful club enjoys a large family based population with an average age of 28 and a pleasant tropical climate.
As the clubs new Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to stamp your personality and take a sense of ownership for the operations of the organisation. Currently the host to a range of facilities including a modern clubhouse, 45 Gaming Machines, Keno, 3 x Bars, Bottle Shop, Bistro and Function areas, along with a range of exciting large-scale capital development projects on the way; the club provides services to over 17,000 members, with a compliment of 60 staff.
Reporting to the General Manager, this position would ideally suit a person with a sound background in Hospitality Management who aspires to be a General Manager, and is ready to take the next step in their career path.
The successful candidate will thrive in a busy, diverse environment and have an enthusiasm for the hospitality industry with a passion for exceptional customer service. Superior knowledge in finance, gaming, HR, food and beverage, regulatory compliance and marketing is a requirement for this position. Equally important will be a proven ability to manage and motivate a large dynamic team.
Tertiary qualifications will be favourably considered. Remuneration will be negotiated to attract the absolute best candidate.
