Based at the foothills of the Blue Mountains, Glenbrook Panthers is a family friendly bowling club with a focus on serving the local community. Our 4700 members & their guests enjoy 2 manicured bowling greens, a busy café, small function room and a friendly bar and gaming floor. Our team of 37 energetic employees are well known for their dynamic customer service and welcoming smiles. We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to inspire & lead our team of multi-skilled hospitality professionals.

This role is perfect for someone who loves variety. You will be rostered 3 shifts / week as the Duty Manager & your other shifts will consist of Central Banking & Section Leader responsibilities. A key member of the team & a recognised leader, you will motivate the team to maintain high levels of customer service. Vital to the success of the team & the club, your responsibilities will include:
• Serving as a representative to the General Manager in their absence
• Ensuring the comfort & well being of members and guests
• Shift & staff management including performance management, disciplinary action & ensuring the various departments work cohesively
• Managing conflict resolution & customer complaints
• Adhering to Panthers policies, procedures & legislative requirements
• Opening & setting up the bar & gaming area, monitoring trade & establishing close times
• Cash reconciliations
• Completing daily shift reports, worksheets, incident reports & checklists accurately & comprehensively

With 2 years experience in a similar role, you will have a good working knowledge of bars, catering & gaming, as well as your RSA & RCG certificates. Exceptional customer service skills combined with a high level of confidence in handling challenging situations are essential for your success in this role. Professionally presented, you will display excellent written & verbal communication skills & be proficient in using Microsoft applications. You will need to be available 7 days / week, including evenings & weekends, to work as required.
