We are currently seeking an astute and operationally focused gaming professional to meet the exciting challenge of the Electronic Gaming Operations Manager role at Star City Casino, here in Sydney.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Oversee the daily operational functions of Electronic Gaming to achieve the department’s objectives in conjunction with business unit, division and company objectives
- Set specific daily performance objectives for Electronic Gaming employees and supervise the service flow and performance of all employees
- Identify any operational training requirements and implement training programs in accordance with departmental objectives and best practice
- Assist the Casino Manager Electronic Gaming in the preparation of the Electronic Gaming‘s budget, ensuring that Electronic Gaming operates within budgetary requirements for labour and operational expenses
- Make recommendations to the Casino Manager Electronic Gaming to maximise revenue and minimise costs throughout the Electronic Gaming department in order to meet company and division budgets
- Approve and verify slot machine pay outs and machine fills and ensure accuracy and clarity of payout vouchers and cash pay outs
- Monitor and evaluate the quality and consistency of service delivery within the department ensuring that customer service delivery is friendly, timely, effective and efficient and that it meets both departmental and corporate standards
- Implement and actively promote all customer related service standards ensuring positive customer relations
- Investigate customer service queries and concerns with diplomacy and tact and provide appropriate response within a timely manner
- Supervise staff and assist the Casino Manager Electronic Gaming in completing all people planning requirements including recruitment, training and development and performance management of staff
- Prepare rosters for all employees, ensuring adherence to the Star City Enterprise Agreement, budgetary requirements and policies and procedures
Candidate Prerequisites:
- Sound knowledge of gaming floor operations desirable
- Previous experience managing large teams essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to forecast and work within pre-determined operating budgets
- Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Gaming
- University and or TAFE qualifications in hospitality and or gaming operations desirable
- Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular Industrial Relations laws and OH&S laws a distinct advantage
- Extensive management experience in a Gaming, Hospitality or similar Operations role essential
