Purpose
In this dynamic and highly cross-functional role you will be a critical link in the business’ multi-million dollar Capital Investment initiatives, as well as being a close contact to the gaming and non-gaming business units, providing valuable levels of business & operational support.
As a Senior Business Analyst in the Star City IT Strategy and Implementation team, your responsibilities will be varied, challenging and dynamic, including:
- Analysing and delivering Information Technology initiatives
- Meeting with user groups to gather, analyse & document end user requirements
- Analysing workflow to create process maps and isolate areas of potential improvement
- Developing functional specifications to design and documenting desired outcome of business processes and system enhancement/development
- Coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the overall efficiency, functionality and user friendliness of system enhancement/development
- Preparing material and providing training and assistance to end-users following implementation
- Working as a crucial component of a project team responsible for enhancing existing systems or developing new systems
Pre-requisites for the role:
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you will be tertiary qualified and have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a related position (minimum 6 years experience in IT) and in addition to the above you must also be able to demonstrate project management experience. You’ll also possess a positive, proactive and dedicated approach to teamwork and a genuine interest in pursuing a career in IT.
You will have an outstanding ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs & develop appropriate technical solutions and a demonstrated ability to deliver secure, flexible, and cost effective and product/service enhancing business solutions. Experience working within the Hospitality and or Gaming Industry is essential and offers of employment for this role will be dependant on the successful candidate's abiltiy to obtain both NSW & QLD regulatory licensing approvals.
