The Northern Beaches has always had a solid food offering and local businesses are continually upping the ante ! Accordingly we are looking for a Head Chef with the ability, smarts, flair, determination and know-how to take it to the competition and leave their heads spinning !!! The venue itself is in a perfect location and the renovations came up a treat ! The hotel is well known in the area and the current Management is keen to see further success driven through an exciting, consistent and enticing food offering.
The role itself is very much a hands-on position. As Head Chef, you will be expected to lead the kitchen brigade at this busy venue, whilst creating, costing, pricing and delivering on a value-for-money food proposition. It is important that you have the ability to set and achieve a profitable menu, so your costing skills along with your ability to manage costs will need to be excellent.
Currently, the kitchen trades from breakfast through to late night with cafe, function and bistro offerings. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant will be able to supervise, lead and develop the team and will be passionate about ensuring consistency in product and service throughout all trading times. This will mean that you need to motivate and lead your team to achieve, even when you are not there !
This is a fulltime position and salary negotiated based on the individual and the experience that they bring.
