Hear REAL LIFE Examples of Social Media Working in Clubs at the ClubsNSW Annual Conference 8th - 11th October 2011

Social Media Now, Club Rivers & ClubsNSW are teaming up to provide delegates of the ClubsNSW Annual Conference in October with real life examples of how Social Media works in a Club environment.

Often at conferences, delegates are bombarded with information that somehow just doesn't quite translate to how things happen back in "their" businesses ! So SMNow & Club Rivers have been working closely with the crew at ClubsNSW to develop a Q&A session that will address this and a number of the burning questions around Social Media by citing examples from Club Rivers (and beyond) that illustrate not only the benefits of SM, but also how the virtual world links to what goes on inside a venue.

This year's conference theme is "Get Served" - a theme that will explore customer service as a cornerstone of success for the club industry. International speaker Rob Morton from the world famous Disney Institute will be there to share his experiences and how Disney has achieved worldwide success in quality customer service. Demographer Bernard Salt joins Rob as a keynote speaker to share his findings on the current Australian consumer market, including exploration of the major socio-economic study of the club industry currently being undertaken by KPMG nationally. And don't miss an opportunity to attend an exciting line-up of seminar sessions covering topical issues such as Gaming Pre Commitment, Social Media, Event Management, IT Innovation and Community Engagement.

On the morning of Monday 10th October, our Social Media - Customer Service Seminar starts at 8.30am and we would very much like like to see you there to welcome your support and questions on the day.

Testimonials From Some of Our Happy Clients
We love the opportunity to work with our clients to help them create a consistent brand image for their online presence, including designing; developing and strategising Facebook Pages. And our clients like to work with us as well - here are testimonials from two very happy clients:

Total Travel Solutions recently used the expertise of Social Media Now to set up their new and improved Facebook page - a job they found daunting!

From the first phone call to Jenny White right through to the post job follow up, Jenny could not have been more helpful, professional or patient!

We are so glad we contacted Jenny and are thrilled with the end result.

Thanks for the very cool new Facebook Page SocialWiz. We are happy campers !

Jodie Tipping & Christina Musgrove, Total Travel Solutions

I would have no hesitation in recommending SMN to any Business that wants to get properly involved in Social Media.

Thank you for a wonderful new Facebook page Social Media Wiz - we LOVE it!!

Thanks guys for looking after the build of my Malam Facebook Page - I LOVE it and I LOVE how much you have helped me with lessons on how to post - you went over and above what I was expecting :-)

RSL & Services Club - Taste & Tribute Tour to the USA HOTCLUB Cup Barista Challenge

There is still time to join the RSL & Services Clubs Association's Taste & Tribute Study Tour to the United States in November.

With a focus on food and beverage operations, the study tour of clubs, restaurants and hotel banquet facilities will coincide with the annual US Veterans Day parade in New York on 11 November - Remembrance Day - and veterans in the tour group can march in the parade.

The tour also visits Washington and includes a remembrance service at Arlington National Cemetery, a meeting with the Washington RSL Sub-Branch at the Australian Embassy and visits to venues such as the National Press Club, City Club of Washington and a leading city restaurant, including 'back of house' tours. In New York the group will tour the banquet facilities of the famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel, the delights of Eataly, the largest artisanal Italian food and wine marketplace in the world and the International Hotel, Motel & Restaurant Show. The visit to Las Vegas will include tours of the food and beverage operations of Bellagio Casino, the new M Casino Resort and the new Cosmopolitan Casino.

The tour is limited to a maximum of 40 delegates (one tour coach) and visits the three major cities in 10 days, leaving on 7th November and returning on Saturday 19th.
