Don't keep spending bucket loads of money on trying to grow your database when you can do it for free !

Here's how to tap into the world !

Most businesses spend an absolute fortune in time and resources to grow their database through traditional methods like letter box drops, newspaper advertising, telemarketing and the like. Companies can pay thousands of bucks to buy databases to target. Why ?

You have a database of over 300 million people on tap for FREE !!!!

Did you know these facts ?

  • There are more than 300 million Facebook users
  • 50% of active users log on to Facebook EVERY day
  • The average user has 130 friends each on the site
  • There are more than 6 billion minutes spent on Facebook each day
  • More than 10 million users become fans of Facebook pages each day
  • More than 3 million events are created on Facebook each month
  • More than 45 million active user groups exist on Facebook
  • There are more than 65 million active users using Facebook through their mobile devices
  • Twitter (where you can post 140 character messages or Tweets) boasts over 55 million monthly visits
  • Well known users 'Kyle and Jackie O' have 363,091 followers who watch their Tweets whilst 'Kevin Rudd' has 676,000 followers

With numbers like these to tap into, why don't you think about targeting people who may be interested in what services you have to offer through Social Media. There is no real cost apart from time !

Stop living in the past and embrace Social Media — this IS the way, not of the future, but of NOW !

Our pledge to YOU to promote our industry to help YOU have an ongoing pool of SPECTACULAR staff for the future Here's how White Now learnt a great lesson in giving without wanting anything in return !

The White Now team is eagerly getting ready for the TAFE NSW Careers Expo on 10th November 2009 at Ryde TAFE.

Wiz is shining his wand, practicing his chatting skills, testing his web connections and has his brochures in hand.

White Now was honoured to receive the call to be invited to attend this event at Ryde TAFE, the leading hospitality TAFE in Sydney. White Now was invited to assist to spread the word about developing great careers within the Club and associated industries.

At this Careers Expo, White Now Pledges to YOU the following;

  1. We promise to represent the industry in a professional AND fun manner to promote to TAFE students AND teachers that pursuing a role within the Club and Gaming industry can exceed all their expectations
  2. We vow to talk to as many students and teachers as possible to encourage a positive vision of this great industry
  3. We guarantee that we will be positive, excited, encouraging and honest about career paths within our industry
  4. We vow to have in our minds, the ongoing growth of the industry with each and every discussion
  5. We look forward to discussing all of the many positives about careers in the Club Industry versus opportunities in 5-Star Hotels which is something that most students will not have heard or realised before !
  6. We aim to listen to students and teachers and give them honest and individualised advice to assist them with their careers
  7. Wiz and his team pledge allegiance to the industry at all times

White Now is 100% committed to assisting their clients in any way possible to grow and flourish in the future !

Is there anything else you want us to pledge for the day or is there a message you would like us to pass on to these students or teachers ? Shoot us an email to info@whitenow.com.au or call White Now on 02 9807 1806.

Recently the team at White Now were given two free tickets to a motivational seminar that was aimed at those who want to re-energise, focus, gain clarity and direction and set real, achievable goals. The tickets are worth around $750 - $1000 each.

The White Now team was asked for their input on how these tickets could be best used. What an amazing experience this was in itself. The ideas were amazing and all seemed to surround a 'giving to others' angle.

One of the White Now team had the idea that if there was a White Now client or candidate who had suffered great personal challenges over the Global Financial Crisis and who needed a 'leg up', genuine guidance and a spark of motivation, then this would be ideal. These tickets could have been used by the White Now team themselves, but the true compassion was evident over and over again.

Needless to say, White Now found a champion gentleman within the industry who was made redundant in the financial crisis after over 25 years service with the same industry supplier. This man has remained focused on trying to gain further employment, has listened to advice and encouragement but sadly had not YET been successful in gaining employment. This was the IDEAL choice !

White Now phoned the gentleman and offered him the gift on behalf of White Now. The gentleman was so grateful and accepted almost immediately. He has taken his wife along to join him on the day.

The lesson learned by White Now through this experience of gift giving is that there is real meaning in giving a gift that will have maximum impact on the person whilst asking for nothing in return.

Thanks to the White Now team for their empathy, generosity and compassion in giving away this prize to a truly deserving person.

6 ways to ensure that you do the utmost to get yourself in the box seat for that new job and drive your business forward.

Fans of White Now Go Getters have been treated to daily resume, interview and business tips for free just for becoming a Fan of White Now Go Getters on Facebook (click here to become a Fan).

Here are 6 of those tips from the past months that could help you !

  1. When being filmed or having your photo taken at industry functions, make sure you present yourself in the best light possible. You should stand showing professional confidence and put any drink, food or cigarette down. Imagine the perception that holding a drink could give to someone who looks at your picture in an industry magazine. Yes, it's just perception, but don't give the viewer any reason to unfairly judge you. Go Get Em !
  2. Duzz youre rsume got heeps of typos & gramatical errars in it ? Maybee it just has one big one that reely stanz out. When and interviewer is desiding who to intaview, they look at resumes and try and pick three or for. They may use your e misteaks to be a reeason not to call you in four an intarview even if you have moor skills than the other peeples resumes. Get 10 peopke to look at your resumee befour you send it
  3. Successful business is not about swiping someone else's great ideas and mimicking them, that's just being a follower. A great business watches others, learns and does things differently and better. They then become leaders. Make sure your businesses have plenty of new ideas, initiatives and that they lead the way
  4. If you think that sending the same cover letter with every application is smart, then think twice. Adjust your cover letter EVERY time to include the person's name, role and company you're applying to. Respond to the information/criteria and make sure that you tailor the letter to the job you are applying for. It is just laziness using the same letter saying "Dear Sir/Madam, I am applying for the job you had advertised". Make the reader feel important - put some time into your cover letter !!
  5. Don't forget to call ALL of your referees when you decide to start job hunting to let them know that you are looking for a career change. Let them know what GREAT things that you've achieved since you talked to them last so that they can chat about these when they are called by the interviewer. You don't want them to be unprepared when they get called !
  6. When you are leaving an interview, make sure you shake everyone's hand and thank each individual for their time. Remember it will be each individual's decision as to whether they vote for you to get the role, so make sure you show respect to each person there ! It's common sense. Go Get Em !!
