The Broken Hill Musicians Club is seeking a Senior Duty Manager, classified under the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award as a Level B Manager, to lead our team and ensure the smooth, compliant, and welcoming running of our diverse venue.​

About the Club

Founded in 1919, the Broken Hill Musicians Club offers a lively entertainment and hospitality environment with a bistro, multiple event spaces, gaming, snooker rooms, regular live music, and community activities. We pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and our reputation as Broken Hill’s entertainment capital.​

The Role

As Senior Duty Manager, you will:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all club areas, ensuring high standards in service, safety, hygiene, and compliance
  • Supervise and support frontline staff, providing coaching and mentoring to maintain a positive team culture
  • Maintain compliance with liquor, gaming, and responsible service regulations
  • Organise and evaluate staff training, performance reviews, and incident management
  • Manage security procedures, venue presentation, and emergency protocols
  • Authorise operational expenditures and contribute to roster, scheduling, and stock control management
  • Build strong relationships with members, guests, contractors, and local authorities
  • Actively contribute ideas for continuous improvement and future club initiatives.​
About You
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a registered club, hospitality, or entertainment venue
  • Sound knowledge of dining, gaming, and bar operations with a commitment to customer service
  • Ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a team in a hospitality environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, including report writing and incident resolution
  • Experience with compliance requirements and regulatory standards in clubs or hospitality settings
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
