The Opportunity

The Acres Club is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to oversee the smooth operation of the venue during allocated shifts. This role is the key link between senior management and frontline operations, with authority across all departments on shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example to promote the Club’s values and ensure high standards of presentation, grooming and customer care at all times.​
  • Act as the senior manager on duty, handling member and guest queries and feedback with professionalism and diplomacy.​
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all service areas, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, WHS, RSA and RCG requirements.​
  • Mentor, support and motivate team leaders and staff, including delegation of tasks, monitoring performance and assisting with training and development.​
  • Manage labour costs, staff allocation and rostering efficiencies in line with sales and service requirements.​
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, payouts authorisation, POS usage, incident reporting and security of Club assets.​
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies, including first aid response, and complete required reports and logs.​
About You
  • Previous demonstrable experience supervising staff and patrons in a club or similar hospitality venue.​
  • Strong customer service, conflict management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.​
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and foster a high-performance culture.​
  • Highly organised, task-focused and able to prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy environment.​
  • Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Approved RSA and ARCG competency card.​
  • Current Senior First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).​
  • NSW Driver Licence.​
