General Manager – Woolooware Golf Club Premier golf, hospitality & gaming venue | Sutherland Shire NSW Woolooware Golf Club, a leading public golf and hospitality destination in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire with an 18-hole course, vibrant clubhouse and thriving bar, dining and events offering, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the next phase of growth.

The opportunity
Reporting to the Board, the General Manager is the chief executive responsible for turning strategy into clear plans and budgets, leading all operational areas (golf, course, hospitality, gaming, events and administration), driving commercial growth across membership, golf, food & beverage and retail with strong financial controls, and ensuring consistently high member and guest experiences on and off the course.
Key responsibilities - Develop and execute annual budgets, forecasts and financial reports; achieve revenue, cost and surplus targets.
- Maintain high course, clubhouse and service standards and oversee capital works, facility upgrades and course improvement programs.
- Lead, mentor and develop department managers and their teams; drive a safe, positive and high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, liquor and gaming, employment and environmental legislation, as well as club policies and industry standards.
- Provide accurate, timely reporting to the Board on financials, KPIs, risk and strategic progress.
- Represent the Club professionally with members, sponsors, suppliers, industry bodies and the local community.
Our ideal candidate - Proven senior leadership experience in a golf club, hospitality venue or member-based organisation.
- Golf course management experience is an advantage; however, not necessary.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, confident managing complex budgets and multiple revenue streams.
- Track record of delivering operational excellence and outstanding member/guest experiences.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and Board-reporting capability.
- Skilled people leader who builds culture, accountability and engagement across diverse teams.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or PGA, CMAA or similar industry credentials (highly regarded).
