Experienced catering contractor needed to lead café, bistro & diner operations at a major Mid North Coast NSW club.
Catering Contractor for Club – Mid North Coast NSW South West Rocks Country Club Ltd, is seeking an experienced catering professional to oversee all culinary operations commencing from February 2026. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated industry specialist with a history of Club Contracting and sound business model to not only thrive but grow with the expansion and development of club facilities.
About us South West Rocks Country Club, originally established in 1958, was comprehensively rebuilt and reopened on 3rd March 2003 to meet the town's growth, evolving into the Macleay Valley's largest club venue.
It features an impressive array of facilities, including three bowling greens, an 18-hole golf course, two croquet courts, four tennis courts, a six-lane tenpin bowling alley called Social Alley, and a spacious auditorium accommodating up to 300 guests.
The club delivers three diverse dining experiences—all operating seven days a week—with a coastal-style café in the newly renovated bistro offering coffee, cakes, and light meals; the Social Alley Diner specialising in American-style entertainment fare; and the Rock Salt Bistro presenting Australian cuisine in a relaxed setting.
Recent enhancements include a refreshed bistro dining area with casual coastal vibes, complemented by new walk-in cool rooms installed in August 2025.
Key Aspects & Responsibilities - Operate and deliver exceptional product and service within all food areas, the Café, Bistro and Social Alley Diner.
- Work closely with Club Management & events department to deliver successful functions and events.
- Design and deliver seasonal menus for casual dining, functions and weddings.
- Maintain high standard of food quality, presentation, hygiene and safety.
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations including front of house operations.
- Produce and deliver a successful business model and structure.
- Employ and maintain well trained staff with excellent customer service skills.
- Be collaborative and build strong relationships with the Club and its patrons
- Deliver sound operational and financial management.
- Single focused operator is preferred, but all applications will be considered.
The Club has a strong membership base with increased patronage during the holiday season. We are a destination venue for weddings, large sporting events, functions & corporate seminars.
We offer a supportive and collaborative management team and desirable contractual catering arrangements.
