Secretary Manager Sawtell Bowling & Recreation Club – NSW Mid North Coast
Located in the heart of beautiful Sawtell, Sawtell Bowling & Recreation Club is a proudly community-minded, well-established licensed club. Known as "The Friendly Club," we offer exceptional facilities, a thriving social scene, and the perfect balance of tradition and growth. We’re now seeking an experienced Secretary Manager / Club Manager to lead our next chapter.
About the Role
Reporting to the Board, you’ll oversee all aspects of club operations — from finance and compliance to hospitality and member engagement. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, elevating service standards, and fostering the inclusive atmosphere that makes Sawtell Bowlo special.
Key Responsibilities - Lead daily operations across administration, finance, hospitality, and recreation.
- Maintain full compliance with Liquor & Gaming NSW, ClubsNSW, and relevant legislation.
- Oversee financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and Board reporting.
- Drive membership growth, community engagement, and revenue performance.
- Provide strong leadership, mentoring, and teamwork across all departments.
- Partner with the Board to guide governance, strategic planning, and risk management.
Our ideal candidate - Proven experience as a Secretary Manager, Club Manager, or senior hospitality leader.
- Strong financial, governance, and compliance understanding.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A hands‑on leader with a passion for community service and member satisfaction.
- Current RSA, RCG, Advanced RCG, and Club Secretary Approval (Liquor & Gaming NSW).
- Eligibility for Liquor Licence transfer and compliance with the Corporations Act 2001.
Employment Details - Registered & Licensed Clubs Award 2020 (MA000058) – Level 11 (Manager E).
- 50% Award Exempt Position.
