Club Burwood RSL Group is a large prosperous Club group with a combined growing membership of 35,000 members and 3 premises in the Burwood area. It is one of the wealthiest Club groups in NSW with net assets of almost $200 million, annual turnover of approximately $50 million, 140 employees. A new Super Club is planned and is pending approval by authorities. This offers incredibly exciting long term career opportunities.

We seek a professional Duty Manager (full time) to manage the day to day operations of Club Burwood RSL (96 Shaftesbury Road, Burwood).

As a Duty Manager you will be responsible with the daily operations of the club including Functions, Catering, Bar and Gaming services.

Reporting to the Groups HR Manager and Groups Gaming Manager, this role requires someone who can work flexible hours, working nights, early mornings and weekends.

The successful applicant will be paid in accordance with the Registered and Licenced Club Award 2010 and will be eligible to quarterly performance bonuses.

Essential credentials:

  • Hospitality tertiary qualifications, an accredited RSA & RCG certificate
  • Supervisory or Management experience within the Club / Hospitality Industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills, especially gaming with an enthusiastic eye for detail
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of security to ensure integrity of the Club operations
  • Experience and skill for resolution of conflict with both patrons & staff
  • Demonstrate a high level of verbal & written communication skills

Preferred attributes

  • Enthusiastic with a hands-on approach
  • Willingness to assist with the organisation and management of Club functions
  • Ability to conduct on-the-job training
  • Happy to work a rotating roster including day, night & weekends
  • Thorough computer skills
  • Knowledge of ebet gaming systems
