The Role

Club Wyong is a favourite amongst Coasties, situated in Wyong, the gateway to the Central Coast. Our family-friendly club offers a venue for locals and visitors to enjoy, together with exceptional service. Our venue has numerous dining options including Spinners Restaurant and Café, live entertainment, weekly events, promotions and beverage facilities, in a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.

As our leading Chef, you will oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations and the supervision of our kitchen staff.

More specifically your day to day duties will include:

  • Managing the employee performance life cycle including supervision of staff, recruitment, training and development
  • Assisting with staff rosters, wage cost and forecasting and budgeting
  • Daily food preparation, cooking, menu planning
  • Cost control
  • Compliance with WHS & Food Safety
  • WHS& HACCP control

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade certificate
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • An ability to lead and supervise daily kitchen operations inclusive of staff management, stock control, financial budgets and cost control is critical - including maintaining industry profit margins
  • Understanding of a kitchen & possess a “hands on” approach
  • Sound background HACCP and Food Safe Handling
  • Roster management experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving & decision-making skills
  • Superior customer service & immaculate grooming & presentation
  • A good practical knowledge of safe WH&S practices
  • Full availability (days, nights, weekends & public holidays)
  • Current First Aid Certification/ Food Safety Supervisor Certification
