Batemans Bay Soldiers Club is situated in one of the premier destinations in NSW.  Batemans Bay is only 2 hours from Canberra and 3.5 hours south of Sydney - this club, its facilities and surrounds are amazing.  Overlooking the Clyde Rivers with views to the Tollgate Islands, this is nearly everyone's dream place to reside and work.  

The club has a strong membership of 12,000 with this number significantly swelling throughout each holiday period.  The club is the hub of hospitality in Batemans Bay with the club being the 'go-to' venue for a range of dining experiences. 

With the current Caterer moving on comes an EXTRAORDINARY opportunity for a seasoned Contract Caterer looking for a large successful venue in an amazing coastal town. 

The restaurant currently offers a mix of Asian and Australian meals, however the future would see a Modern Australian with an Asian offering to suit the expectation of our vast demographics. The main food area (bistro) and cafe seats around 525 pax. Our seating offers a spectacular 180 degree water view.  Our current renovations see the expansion of our functions and events spaces.  We offer an auditorium seating 450 (dining) pax, that can be divided into 6 function rooms holding a total of 800 theatre style.  This is a 7 day a week operation for lunch and dinner.  We would prefer that our lunch time service offer a bistro/buzzer service with our evening service being an A-La-Carte offering depending on viability and logistics. 
 
The club also owns and operates the beautifully appointed Esplanade Motor Inn situated directly next to the club offering 23 totally renovated, modern rooms. 
 
The Club prides itself on offering consistent and exceptional customer service throughout all areas of its operation, in turn we are looking for an operator who can provide a well-groomed, professional, communicative and thoughtful team with strong leadership.
 
The bistro kitchen, cafe and functions kitchen are well appointed with all the equipment you would expect (with wok burners in addition) and they have been maintained to a high standard.  The Club owns all the kitchen equipment and utensils along with all of the cutlery and crockery for serving and dining. This opportunity can offer a quick hand over with all equipment already at hand.  If the new caterer would like to bring their own equipment, crockery and cutlery this is also welcomed. 
 
This is the PERFECT business opportunity for a caterer who can walk in and take over quickly.  We hope that you also enjoy the offer of FREE rent and FREE utilities for the first 2 months. 
 
To be considered for this opportunity you must;
  • Be able to provide meals of high quality to a large customer base in a busy environment. 
  • Be fully conversant with relevant legislation relating to food, hygiene, and employment including WHS compliance and insurance. 
  • Be open to fresh ideas such as themed buffet or meal offers for special events,
  • Offer a range of specials for annual events and occasions at prices comparable to local competition.
  • Proven function and events experience. 
  • Use the club's point of sale (POS) system for all sales and transactions
  • Manage the administration functions of your business in a professional and timely manner.
  • Employ your own kitchen/wait staff (we currently have a range of Chefs and staff who are happy to be included as part of the new operators team). 
  • Be able to work in partnership with the Club's senior management team.
  • Demonstrate that you can provide and maintain a high standard of service acceptable to the Club.

Services should include (but not limited to):

  • Wide variety of meals on offer with competitive pricing.
  • High quality meals using high quality produce/foodstuffs.
  • High quality presentation and consistency of meals and service/dining areas.
  • High quality, suitably qualified employees including FOH service employees who must present themselves courteously and politely to patrons.
