The BERMAGUI COUNTRY CLUB is situated on the beautiful Far South Coast of NSW. The Club has solid ties with the local community boasting multiple sub-clubs and supporting multiple community organisations. The Club offers a fantastic 18-Hole Golf Course, Synthetic Bowls Green and Tennis facilities as well as hosting other local sporting clubs at our facilities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Duty Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day operations of our busy Club, and who will compliment and assist our senior management team. This is a great opportunity for you to further your experience in a premium location, working with a fantastic and close-knit team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is a hands-on position and must provide leadership to our staff and ensure that our Patrons receive a superior level of customer service. The role comes with the added variety of a portfolio that will be tailored to your strengths. Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing the operational requirements of the Club on a day-to-day basis, over a variety of days, evenings and weekends,
  • Ensuring compliance with the Registered Clubs Act and all other relevant legislation,
  • Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for members and guests,
  • Managing the expectations set by senior management,
  • Consistently ensuring a high level of customer service is delivered,
  • Maintaining a high standard of communication,
  • Providing coaching and mentoring on the run.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous management or supervisory level in a Club or similar industry experience,
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) certifications.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive customer service knowledge with the ability to lead and supervise a team,
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills,
  • Exceptional presentation and grooming standards,
  • Ability to lead by example with a hands-on approach,
  • Confidence to manage staff performance to maintain peak service,
  • Exemplary cash handling capabilities,
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
