We have available an amazing opportunity to join the team at the Coleambally Community Club, as a Club Manager!

The opportunity may also interest the highly motivated, but perhaps less experienced, individual looking to take the next step into Club Management.

Coleambally, situated 70kms south of Griffith, is the newest NSW town hosting one of the most innovative irrigation industries in the world. With a local community of 1250 residents, it possesses genuine, enthusiastic people, who are passionate about supporting local business.

The Coleambally Community Club has a membership of around 500 and its facilities include a Bowling Green that is considered the best in the region, a popular Bar and Chinese Restaurant, 9 EGMs, Keno, Kids Games Room and an auditorium that seats 200 people. The Club is active in a wide range of sporting activities, including Aussie Rules, Netball, Rugby League, Golf, Tennis and a very active Squash Club. The Club is also very popular with travellers to the region, offering welcoming hospitality, free camping and WIFI for self-contained rigs and use of Coleambally's excellent, newly renovated sporting facilities.

This is an opportunity of a lifetime to add value as the Club Manager, it is the heart of the community where we socialise, play bowls, enjoy a meal and hold sporting days, as well as play host for local business and agriculture meetings.

As the Club Manager, what will your responsibilities be?

  • Drive and implement Club policies as determined by the Board of Directors
  • Supervise all staff and management of the Club
  • Oversee Gaming operations and licencing to ensure compliance
  • Manage all membership lists, relevant statutes, acts of parliament and regulations that the Club is required to adhere to
  • Demonstrate strong leadership with a focus on customer service
  • Build relationships and work closely with catering companies and other external stakeholders to the Club
  • Grow and develop networks within the local community to increase business
  • And so much more……!

What will you need (or to achieve) to be successful?

  • Relevant experience in a similar role as a Club/Venue Manager or similar senior role
  • ALL current licences for the role – RSA, RSG and Management qualifications
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strong community engagement – love your town and the people in it!
  • A passion for the role – be involved in bringing new initiatives / ideas to life
  • Be business minded – strong reporting and scheduling skills, efficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid work ethic, integrity and genuinely enjoy working with people
