About the Role:

An exciting career opportunity exists for a highly motivated and proactive Assistant Venue Manager to join our Melbourne CBD hospitality venue – Clocks at Flinders.

As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will assist in the running of a multi-million dollar business and will have the opportunity and support to develop and grow the business to meet the changing market demands.

The successful applicant will be energetic, enthusiastic, lead from the front and will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong customer focus and passionate about Hospitality
  • High personal presentation standards and a friendly attitude
  • Excellence in customer service delivery and leadership
  • An understanding of the expectation of a Hospitality manager in a flexible working environment
  • The ability to assist in the delivery of financial growth to the business through sales initiatives whilst controlling costs
  • Minimum three years proven success in a Hospitality management role, with food, gaming and bars.
  • The ability to professionally lead, manage, train and direct a large multi-skilled team
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and the drive for creating sustainable long-term business success

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the leadership of staff in conjunction with the Venue Manager and implementation of appropriate training programs for staff to be multi-skilled in all areas
  • Maintain a safe, secure and compliant venue and work environment
  • Achieve quality and consistent service standards through understanding customer expectations, listening to feedback and acting to resolve problems
  • Ordering and maintaining of all bar and catering stock, invoicing and Stocktake.
  • Manage compliance and risk management for venue licencing, including RSA and RSG.
  • Current RSA, RSG and Victorian Gaming Licence are all essential.
