An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate, highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team in the role of Food Services Manager. This is a great opportunity for the right person looking to further their career in Hospitality Management. We are looking for someone who will uphold our values and lead a team based on our team promise - to inspire and nurture a people-first spirit so that we feel empowered, purposeful, and connected.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for the daily operations and all aspects of the kitchen operations at the Club's three food outlets - Bayview Bistro, Cheesy Grin Pizza and the Voyager Cafe.

Responsibilities of this key role include:

  • Maintain a productive catering department, which includes a restaurant and pizzeria as well as a busy function portfolio.
  • Function Catering experience for 300+ Patrons.
  • Develop the catering team by ensuring modern business practices are achieved in the kitchen.
  • Lead and manage a team of catering staff and maximize productivity levels of those kitchen staff.
  • Develop price menus in accordance with Club Policies.
  • Manage stock control, labour costs and manage related expenses.
  • Establish agreed presentation, quality standards and portion control.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained in accordance with State and Federal laws.
  • Assisting with Kitchen staff recruitment.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role.
  • Have good analytical and decision making skills and an objective approach to problem solving.
  • Be team orientated with a strong work ethic.
  • Have strong leadership, organizational and communications skills (written & verbal).
  • Have a positive 'can do' attitude.
  • Be HACCP accredited - Food Safety Supervisor and Trainer.
