Kiama Golf Club was established in the 1930's and boasts a picturesque 18 hole course, nestled on the banks of the Minnamurra River. It is hailed as the best ‘all weather’ golf course on the South Coast. It has a challenging layout, tree lined fairways and panoramic views which make for an enjoyable game every time.

Conveniently located 90 minutes south of Sydney & 180 minutes from Canberra, we are an integral part of the growing South Coast tourism market.

The fully equipped Pro Shop is open daily and our teams of highly professional staff are focused on creating the most complete customer experience for our members and guests when they play at our course or use our modern clubhouse facilities.

Kiama Golf Club invites applicants to apply for the Full Time position of Assistant Golf Professional.

Reporting to the Golf Operation Manager, Elle Sandak. You will be an integral team member, responsible for effective day to day management of the golf facilities and services.This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Member Services
  • Golf Shop Sales
  • Product Management
  • Timesheet Management.

Your duties will include:

  • Issuing competition timesheets and finalising all competitions.
  • Liaising with KGC members on issues relative to daily competitions, club championships and major golfing events.
  • Assisting in building on our successful junior coaching program.
  • Helping to enhance our growing Ladies coaching and participation programs.
  • Assisting with merchandising.
  • Golf club repairs.
  • Assist with Club Regulations along with monitoring dress standards.
  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the Pro Shop and Motorised Golf Cart Fleet.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • PGA of Australia - Full Vocational Member will be essential.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Ability to implement and follow club procedures.
  • Flexibility in work hours with weekend work being essential to this role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outgoing and approachable personality.
  • Knowledge of MPower Golf Management software would be desirable but not essential.
