We are the largest business within the Collective with more changes slated for the next 12 months, which will include some exciting developments for the Events team. We have a 530 seater Auditorium; a versatile room which has 150pax capacity but can be transformed in to 2 rooms; a smaller room that seats 20 boardroom style; plus a boardroom; The Conservatory; Terrace and The Lounge. There's a space for everyone!

The magic begins with you...

With a significant chunk of repeat business, this is about maintaining relationships whilst establishing new clients to ensure there is always a strong pipeline of sales in the event space. With so many spaces to sell there is room to use your imagination to bring a clients vision to reality. When appropriate you will be responsible for the full event cycle from sales inception to implementation.

Key Responsibilities and Duties will include:

  • Increasing sales and profitability of our multiple function spaces to current and new clients by generating new leads, converting enquiries and up selling the menu
  • Co-ordination and hosting of familiarisation and site inspection activity including follow-up
  • Preparation of quotations and conversion of business
  • Represent NORTHS facilities at trade shows, seminars and promotional activities
  • Achieve a level of service quality and professionalism that consistently meets and preferably exceeds the expectations of clients

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Experience in event sales/ business development in a similar environment with a strong focus on the MICE market
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and secure new clients and to manage multiple enquiries, prepare quotes and follow-up leads resulting in a high conversion rate
  • Ability to create new opportunities with existing clients
  • Dynamic and persuasive personality along with immaculate personal presentation
  • Exceptional eye for detail
  • Experience working with hospitality packages and pricing
  • Ability to work autonomously with a drive to achieve sales targets
  • To actively monitor competitor offerings and build strategies to position the club toward target markets
  • Experience with Priava or similar events software (desirable)
  • An appreciation that working some nights and weekends may be necessary if the client's needs require
