VenuesLive Management Services NSW Pty Ltd (VenuesLive) proudly manages Accor Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park and CommBank Stadium in Parramatta, as the exclusive venue operator and catering services provider. Across both venues, VenuesLive hosts live sporting and entertainment events including the NRL Grand Final, State of Origin, Bledisloe Cup, concerts, music festivals and other national and international events. VenuesLive also provides catering services to several sports and entertainment venues in the Sydney Metropolitan area, Wollongong and Newcastle (referred to as Specialty Venues).

The following opportunity exists to join VenuesLive’s Purchasing and Inventory team and play a key role in the coordinating the procurement functions, supplier relationships and stock management supporting the wider team.

The successful applicant will be joining a dynamic, high achieving team which strives to ‘Make the Greatest Things Happen’.

The key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Procurement of suppliers, including sub-contractors
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Developing and assisting with the tender process
  • Product pricing and quoting of new products or services
  • Coordinating the monthly stock-take process and system
  • Wastage reporting and management
  • Forecast review and management
  • Financial reporting pricing improvements and forecasting

As a minimum, the successful applicants must have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Writing skills to a high standard.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to simultaneously coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills and competency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using purchase order software platforms and inventory management programs (Task Retail highly regarded)

This is an entry level position, however previous experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.

In addition to the above criteria, attention to detail, a customer focus, high levels of energy, willingness to work flexible hours in line with the requirements of Accor Stadium and CommBank Stadium’s event schedule (which includes evening and weekend work) and a positive ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn, is what is required to successfully undertake this position.
